How to use bleach

How to use bleach and how bleach works.

Bleach is what a stylist will most commonly use to create highlights or a blonder color. These are strong chemicals that will no matter what quality or strength the bleach has evidently damage your hair. Some hairs are stronger than others and will cope better, however the structure will change and this is something you need to be aware of.

Why does the structure change?

Think about what you do with other forms of bleach and how carefully you use them. Bleach in hair is used to strip off color, not add, in order to create a blonder look. Once the color is gone so is the strength and quality of the hair.

How do I care for my hair after using bleach?

First of all use a good strengthening treatment with protein as often as you can. If it says on the label to leave it in for a while don’t worry if you don’t feel you can take the time to do so. It’s better to do it more often than not so good. Secondly, use a good repairing shampoo and conditioner. It is worth buying products from your hairstylist as they are better than the supermarket products. Using good products is the foundation for any beautiful and healthy hair. However, they have to be the right products for your hair or you will not benefit from them. Lastly, always use a protective and strengthening leave in treatment after washing your hair in order to rebuild your hair and protect it from everything from weather to heat tools to day to day tear. If you get a good leave in treatment you will not need to add a heat protector or any sort of styling cream unless you want something with more hold.
